The workshop
A place to
shape clay.
Fausto Chiodi’s workshop in Deruta: ceramic blanks, terracotta and everyday craftsmanship.

Inside the workshop
Between shelves
and workbench.
A trolley of pieces, tools on the bench, forms lined up on shelves: the contents of the workshop tell its story too.
Photographs and videos follow ceramic forms and processes, revealing the stages, pauses and details of everyday work.

People and their craft
The hand follows
the detail.
At the bench, a clay head is worked in detail: the face, the hair and the raised elements.
The photographs show hands at work on the piece, with tools close by.
